Cakes & Bakes is proudly based in Columbus, Ohio. We’re a Black woman-owned, family-run bakery dedicated to crafting small-batch desserts made with love, care, and the freshest ingredients.

Do you offer shipping or delivery?

At this time, we are local pickup or local delivery only to ensure the best possible quality and freshness. Each cake and treat is made to order, so you’ll always receive your dessert at its peak flavor and texture. All local deliveries will incur a mileage fee.

How do I place an order?

You can place your order right here on our website! Simply visit our order page, select your favorite items, and choose your pickup date at checkout. We’ll confirm your order details by email once it’s ready.

How far in advance should I order?

We recommend placing your order 2–3 days in advance, especially for larger cakes or multiple items. Since everything is baked fresh, early orders help us make sure your treats are perfect.

Holiday and weekend orders may incur additional processing time due to high demand.

Orders are not confirmed until payment is received.

Are your desserts gluten-free or vegan?

Not yet — but possibly soon! At this time, our baked goods are not gluten-free or vegan, as we use traditional ingredients to maintain the rich, homemade flavor we’re known for; however, we’re testing a few alternative recipes and hope to add options in the future.

Please note: We are not a gluten free, vegan, keto or paleo bakery. Items are prepared in a kitchen with nuts and other possible allergens. If you have questions about the ingredients of a particular product please contact us.

Can I request custom flavors or special orders?

Do you cater for events or bulk orders?

How should I store my cake or treats?

Keep pound cakes covered at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze slices and let them come back to room temperature before serving.

Are all sales final?
